Redirection of OSAP Funding

This is an easy way to ensure your tuition and fees get paid. The Ministry pays a portion of your OSAP funding directly to your school fees.

Eligible fees include:

• OSAP-approved tuition and compulsory fees

• Any emergency loan(s) made to you by your school

• Any deferred fees or residence fees owed where you have signed a contract with the school

• Any other fees which you have authorized your school to pay on your behalf.

Authorizing the redirection of OSAP funding may also defer/postpone your fee payment until your OSAP funding is released. Please check with your school regarding their specific deferral and late fee policies.

Details about the redirected payment(s) to your school will be available for viewing through “Check Status” online or through your Notice of Assessment.

You may change your authorization to redirect funding for subsequent disbursements by submitting a request in writing to your financial aid office.
