2024-25 OSAP Application for Part-time Students
You need to start paying back your part-time loans after your study period ends. When you completed your Part-Time Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (PTMSFAA), you agreed that you will begin repayment six months after leaving school. You’ll be making payments to the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC), not to OSAP.
If you have OSAP loans from full-time studies, but are continuing school part-time, you will have to start repaying your full-time loans. Any previous part-time loans can be placed into interest-free status so that you don’t have to repay them while in school. If you are studying inside of Ontario, contact your financial aid office about having your enrolment confirmed electronically. Alternatively, you can complete a Canada Student Financial Assistance Program Confirmation of Enrolment (Schedule 2) paper application if you’re not applying for further OSAP assistance.
You can apply to lower your monthly loan payments for six months at a time through the Repayment Assistance Plan.
Information on the Repayment Assistance Plan is available at https://www.ontario.ca/page/pay-back-osap.
