Purpose

To provide targeted financial aid to Aboriginal students with financial need.

Amount of Aid

The value of the bursary will be determined by your school and will not exceed the amount of financial need you have.

Who Can Get This Aid

Aboriginal students who are pursuing education or training opportunities (including apprenticeship programs) at an Ontario public college or university or at an Aboriginal postsecondary school on a part-time or full-time basis are considered for this bursary. You must meet Ontario residency requirements and demonstrate financial need as determined by your school. You do not need to be OSAP eligible to receive an Aboriginal Postsecondary Education and Training Bursary. Your school may have additional eligibility requirements.

How to Apply

You must apply for the bursary through the Financial Aid Office at your college, university, or Aboriginal postsecondary school. Each school is responsible for establishing an application process and setting deadlines for applications. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at your school for details.

How You Get Your Aid

The aid is typically administered by cheque from the Financial Aid Office directly to the student.
