Nomination and Selection Process
Each academic year, departments at Ontario universities are asked to provide names of individuals who they would like to nominate to participate on an OGS Adjudication Panel. In addition, at the end of the previous academic year, panel members are asked if they would consider being part of the process for the next academic year.
It is both of these groups of individuals whose names are put forward to the OGS Board for selection to positions on the OGS panels. Positions on panels include a panel chair, 2 panel members, and an alternate.
In determining the panels several factors are taken into consideration, including the composition of the panel with the aim to create a panel with two experienced and one inexperienced member. We also attempt to have the panel members represent three different institutions.
We hope that you will let your name stand for consideration in future academic years. You can update your interest in participating by going to the “Information Online” section of the left navigation bar and selecting “Participation Information”.
