Challenge Questions and Answers

Some recommended questions are:	Do not use questions like:
Who is my favourite author?	Where do I live?
What is my favourite movie?	What is my date of birth?
What is the best gift I ever received?	What is my mother's maiden name?
What is my hobby?	What is my phone number?
Where is my dream vacation?	What is my father's first name?

We do not recommend questions with answers that can be found in your wallet, purse, or at the desk by your computer. Questions like what is my address, date of birth, height, etc. can be easily found on identification items, such as your driver's licence.

Other questions, like mother's maiden name is commonly over used, and as such can be determined by many individuals with access to your family records. Any question that is the public domain of knowledge or questions that do not have an answer unique to your situation should also be avoided.

To avoid input errors we suggest that you do not use questions that require a date answer, unless you remember the format that you used to enter the answer ( e.g., YY-MM-DD, etc).

Questions should be easy enough for you to remember but personal so that they cannot be answered by someone else. These questions are not accessible to anyone other than you. If you are using a computer that is accessed by the public (e.g., at a public library or at your postsecondary institution lab or financial aid office) you should ensure that you completely log off after you set your questions to ensure another user cannot go back into your pages.
