Notification from the ministry
The “No Paper/E-mail Option”, provides you will e-mail reminders on the status of your loan application instead of paper correspondence. To ensure that you are kept up to date, OSAP will send you an e-mail to let you know when there has been a change to the status of your application and/or funding amounts.
Choosing to be updated via email is the quickest and most efficient method of staying informed on the status of your OSAP application. Check out the details.
Paper
If you choose to receive paper notification, OSAP will mail you information about the status of your application. If your application was processed successfully, you will be sent a notice indicating the amount of your funding and the steps that must be completed before your loan certificate and money can be released. If your application cannot be processed, OSAP will mail you a notice indicating why your application cannot be processed. You will be advised of the steps that you and/or your financial aid office must take to ensure that the processing of your application can continue. If supporting documentation is required, OSAP will mail you a notice specifying the documentation you must provide.
If you apply using the online application and indicate that you wish to have the ministry mail your declaration and signature pages directly to you instead of printing them from the web, the ministry will mail you a covering letter indicating the status of your application and your personalized declaration and signature page (and one for your spouse or parents, if applicable). The signature pages must be signed and submitted to your financial aid office before your funding can be released. If you are required to provide supporting documentation, a Required Supporting Documentation from will also be enclosed.
